This impressive Victorian Silver brooch is made from carved pieces of Scottish Agate set into the likeness of a coiled snake. Serpent jewellery was popular in Victorian times and represented love, loyalty and friendship.
Each Agate is unique and boasts various earthy colours and patterned layers which are naturally formed, earning it the appropriate nickname ‘The Earth Rainbow’. This piece also boasts a Garnet left eye and Ruby right eye.
A striking historic piece, this brooch is a real talking point and a fantastic example of Victorian craftsmanship.
