An unusual antique Victorian Scottish brooch inlaid with polished natural agates cut to fit the brooches twisted design that resembles a shell.

Each Agate is unique and boasts various earthy colours and patterned layers which are naturally formed, earning it the appropriate nickname ‘The Earth Rainbow’. 

It’s modelled in silver and engraved with the date: 25/04/48 on the reverse which will have been added by a later owner of the piece. It’s in excellent condition and very distinct.
